Hi Greg, thank you for your answer again. As you suggested, after increasing the MAX_TCAP_DIALOGS / MAX_TCAP_INVOKES configuration values, the " Resource Failure ... " txalarm disappeared! However, if NA SS TCAP layer is not able to accept new incoming TC_BEG requests due to resource limitation ( MAX_TCAP_DIALOGS ), I expect that NA SS aborts the transaction by sending TC_ABRT[P-Abort(Resource Limitation)] as NA SS TCAP Layer Developers Guide p.30 Inband Congestion forseens: "...Congestion level 2...No new inbound transactions are allowed. TCAP responds to each incoming BEGIN (ITU) transaction with a P-Abort with a cause of resource limitation (ITU)....The SAP's inbound congestion abort counter is pegged. Other transaction messages are allowed...." But checking the ss7traces logged when MAX_TCAP_DIALOGS / MAX_TCAP_INVOKES limits were reached, I can not find any such P-Abort. Do I miss something? MAX_TCAP_DIALOGS violation is not an "Inband Congestion"? Best regards: Gabor
