Hi Gabor, It's easy to check in the txalarm. If TCAP is going into congestion, you'll get some clear messages saying that. Here's an example going from uncongested to Level 1 and then Level 2: 01/22/10 18:30:39 tcap      1  18957 Warning: SAP [0] Inbound Congestion Level 1 01/22/10 18:30:39 tcap      1  18957 Warning: SAP [0] Outbound Congestion Level 1 .. 01/22/10 19:07:02 tcap      1  18957 Warning: SAP [0] Inbound Congestion Level 2 01/22/10 19:07:02 tcap      1  18957 Warning: SAP [0] Outbound Congestion Level 2 The manual makes no mention of hitting MAX_TCAP_DIALOGS as a cause of congestion: TCAP inbound congestion is caused by one of two possible conditions: • The TCAP application is not reading incoming messages as fast as they are generated by the network, resulting in build-up of the user queue. • The overall memory available to the TCAP layer drops below pre-determined thresholds. Best Regards,   Greg B.
